This event will highlight opportunities within each community to work with individuals exiting the Department of Corrections or within the Department of Pardons and Paroles. Beginning with a tour of Draper Correctional Facility and a presentation on Ingram State Technical College, we will have partners from Industry, the Community College System, Pardons and Paroles, and the Department of Corrections on a panel to provide information to economic developers on how to tap into this workforce. Release rates for the correctional system are increasing in the coming months and this population represents one of the only growing workforce groups in Alabama. Join us as we learn more about how to find this workforce and facilitate their entry into our labor pool.
